The prime minister of Guinea Bissau, Umar
El-Mukhtar Sissoco-Embola has applauded Nigeria for standing by the
country during its troubling times while also describing President
Muhammadu Buhari as his role model.
Sissoco-Embola made this comment was when he was received by President
Buhari at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday, December 28.
Garba Shehu who is the senior special assistant to the president on
media and publicity said the president promised to continue to support
the country in his capacity as chairman of ECOWAS Contact Group on
Guinea Bissau.
Buhari expressed delight at the gradual return of normalcy in the region and said Nigeria will continue to support the country.
“President Buhari urged the leaders to work hard to reach a lasting solution to the political crisis in the country.
